How can I use design-africa images?
EPS files (Encapsulated PostScript)
We supply the patterns as EPS files. (They are resolution independent, and can be re-sized to any size.) They can be opened by most graphic applications, for example: Macromedia Freehand, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop and CorelDraw. |
- Basic structure: the files consist of a central area surrounded by a border. Some patterns also have a "corner square"
- Borders: The borders, the central areas and the corner squares can be separated from one another and used separately.
- Colour: The colours of the elements of the pattern can be changed by you to meet your design requirements. You need to use an application that can edit EPS files.
- Backgrounds: Use the patterns or elements of the patterns as backgrounds to text or other graphic material.
- The patterns can be used as fabric designs.
| Bit mapped files (JPEG files) |
| The files can be used as illustrations, in advertisements, as backgrounds to text, as cover pages, in books to mention only a few uses. Since the JPEG files are saved at the highest quality, you lose almost no quality compared with TIFF versions of the same file. |
